On Saturday morning I met up with Kathryn and Michael in NW DC for their elegant brunch wedding at the Arts Club of Washington. The couple and their bridal party got ready at Hotel Lombardy directly next-door before heading over to the Arts Club to be married.
During the ceremony Kathryn carried a baseball cap in honor of her father who loved the Brooklyn (now the LA) Dodgers. Following their lovely tented wedding we found a large tree for shade across the street from the Arts Club where we photographed portraits of the bridal party and newlyweds together. Since we were in the city a few cross-walk photos were a must too :) At the end of the afternoon the couple had a fun ribbon exit with all of their guests. This is the first brunch wedding I have photographed and I hope to enjoy more in the future!!
All of the details for their day were exquisite - especially Kathryn's gown and their navy and white color palette. Carissa with Locks and Lace did an incredible job on Kathryn's timeless up-do - this may be one of my favorite hair styles to date!
Thank you again Kathryn and Michael! It was a joy photographing your first day as husband and wife. I wish you all the happiness in the world! Cheers, H
