Backyard Wedding in McLean Virginia | Logan & Kelly

On Saturday I had the joy and privilege of photographing Logan & Kelly's first day as Mrs. and Mrs. at Logan's childhood home in McLean, Virginia.  It was a perfect summer day and we were lucky with the storm that rolled through.  Just as the ladies were getting dressed for their first look a classic DC storm made a pop-up appearance.  Logan watched in wonder and proclaimed how much she loves summer storms (me too!), so it was quite fantastic.  Then *poof* just as quickly as it came, it left, and the two enjoyed their stunning summer evening wedding.

Their love is such a beautiful thing and it has been incredible to witness and photograph them during their engagement and wedding.  Perfectly in sync, it couldn't be more clear that they are fated to be together!  I remember during their engagement session they told me how they met and they just knew.  It was a true a-ha moment and they declared "Oh, so this is what it's supposed to feel like."  Not long after meeting and dating the two got engaged and moved in together.

Their wedding day was filled with special touches!  The Chuppah they were married under was constructed by Logan's father using bamboo from the family property, fans were made by Logan's sister in the style of their father's campaign fans from his days in politics, and the newlyweds had a grand sparkler exit in honor of the 4th of July weekend.  Janice with Bellwether Events kept everything running smoothly and Growing Wild Floral Company put together lovely florals and nature inspired centerpieces for their day, all while the Jackass Flats provided fun music throughout.

Congratulations again Logan & Kelly!!  Thank you for allowing me the honor of working with you during this exciting and special time.  I wish you all the happiness in the world!
