Tuesday Babe at Grandma's House

Every Tuesday growing up I would to go to my Grandma K's house for the day. To this day my Grandma calls me the "Tuesday Babe." I love it. I still remember many of the trips my brother and I took with my Grandma on our Tuesdays. We would go to the pool, to the park, play hand and foot (a card game), paint pictures, measure our height, make paper dolls from the "D" book of the encyclopedia... there was always a fun activity when we visited on our Tuesdays!

My Grandma has 7 children and she raised all of them in the very same house she lives in today. I LOVE going to visit. Her house is filled with photographs. It's the way I imagine my house will look when I'm older. Photos of aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, first and second cousins, great-great grandparents... everyone Family!

The weekend before last we gathered at my grandma's to celebrate birthdays for my Uncle and his Fiancee - their birthdays are only a few days apart. We had perfect fall weather and gathered on the porch to talk while soaking up the sunshine, drinking good wine, and eating good food. There's nothing like family. I am so incredibly lucky to have a large and amazing family. Without a doubt, I would not be the person I am today if I didn't have them in my life.

Counting my blessings...

On to the pictures!

I have always loved this framed embroidery my Grandma has by the front door. It was only after I showed my mother these pictures that I learned she made this for my Grandma a very long time ago. My mom is so crafty!

One of my favorite walls in my Grandma's house. You can see the height measurements of me, my brother, our parents, cousins, aunts and uncles since the 60s!

Grandma's house! Absolutely lovely and filled with history.

On a separate note - I had a session with the Hayes Family this past weekend! I cannot wait to blog these photos! Glued to Photoshop as usual!
...Stay tuned :)
