On Saturday I joined Amanda and Nic on Tilghman Island for their waterfront wedding at the Black Walnut Inn. It was a windy and gorgeous fall day for these two to get married.
Driving onto Tilghman Island felt like a complete escape from the rest of the world. The B+B Inn is located at the end of a half-mile drive through 52 acres of bird sanctuary, before opening to six acres of wildflower gardens and lawn surrounded by water. It is truly a peaceful and beautiful place to take in all that the Chesapeake Bay has to offer.
Amanda is a lover of sunflowers and incorporated them throughout their day and the golden florals paired beautifully with the burgundy and grey accents. Their personal vows to one another literally made me cry. They were so well written and truly reflected their love for one another. One of my favorite parts of the day was learning that Nic had somehow managed to have Amanda's wedding band engraved. A major feat considering that Amanda was the one holding onto their bands before the big day. This was a top level security secret until after their ceremony when he told her. Her reaction was priceless!
Their evening felt intimate and perfect. We snuck away during dinner to take the golf cart around the property and caught the tail end of a cloudy sunset.
Amanda and Nic, Congratulations again! I absolutely adore you two and your families. I felt like I was a part of the group all day long. Thank you for being your amazing selves and allowing me to capture your day! xo, H
