On Saturday I joined Alex Marie and Chad on the exclusive Gibson Island for their wedding day. These two... where do I even begin? They are truly amazing humans, and this comes as no surprise to me considering their group of friends. You may notice several other HRP Couples in the images below :) Spending time with this crew is a real treat. Gracious, kind, thoughtful, patient, positive, and beautiful inside and out!
Let's take a quick moment to talk about the bride, Alex-Marie, and her bridesmaids. These women grew up together on the same street and have managed to maintain a lifelong treasured friendship. They share something unique and special, and it's a connection that is such a joy to be around. These ladies aren't friends, they are family. Alex Marie gifted her ladies bracelets on her wedding day with a tree on it, signifying their connection to the street where they grew up.
Every moment working with A+C has been a dream - even when they were faced with rescheduling their wedding day due to Covid AND making the last minute decision to move their wedding ceremony into a tent as the storms rolled in on the big day...! Mother Nature didn't cooperate, but that didn't phase them. As the rain patterned on the tent-top, tears rolled down their cheeks and they focused on the big picture - FINALLY getting to marry one another surrounded by their nearest and dearest. It wasn't the ceremony they had dreamed of - but I truly believe that being able to see the positive and being able to dance in the rain is a trait that will carry you far in life. Their personal vows to one another were awe-inspiring and genuine, and I know everyone underneath the protection of the tent felt the love. Of that, there is no doubt.
I had the pleasure of working side by side with Atalie and Chris on this wedding day to document and couldn't be happier! What a dream team for photos and video! Their black-tie reception was incredible filled with timeless details and chic decor. The evening felt special and elegant.
