Loren & Danny's Ocean City, MD wedding was an incredible and memorable day to say the least! They met in Ocean City over 9 years ago so it was important for them to go back to where it all started to become husband and wife.
However, hurricane Joaquin was making it's way toward land right on schedule with their big day. While they had a water-side wedding in mind, mother nature had other intentions. Their day was completely re-planned within the couple's vision in a matter of days and boy am I happy it was. The roads and their original ceremony site were flooded out and the rain was coming down horizontal. Yay for having an amazing wedding coordinator that was able to score a great venue at the last moment!
Now -- I know a lot of people that this would stress out and worry to pieces (I am one of them!) -- but these two? Not one bit. Cool as a cucumber. I was thrilled when I walked in the door to meet Loren and all her bridesmaids having a great time getting ready for the day. Elated even! What an awesome group of friends these two have.
They rented out property at Back Bay Bungalows then held their ceremony at The Coconut Malorie. While the weather outside was torrential at times, it was warm, happy, and nothing short of perfect inside. We even ventured out into the high wind and rain for a few night-time portraits of the new Mr. & Mrs. :)
Congratulations again Loren & Danny! It was an honor to be your wedding photographer.
Loren's Grandmother's embroidered handkerchief served as her something old, borrowed & blue.
Danny gifted Loren a few items for their big day --
-- but ran out of printer ink for a special letter to her. He emailed it to her and she had to fight back tears as she read his words.
Then I tagged along as Danny's wedding-day gifts were delivered to him in the guys' cabin...
Ohmygoodness -- Loren -- you are STUNNING!
Off to the Coconut Malorie for the Ceremony and Reception!
Loren threw on some rain boots without hesitation and headed out into the rainy windy night with her husband. I just love these two.
The reception that followed felt like it never should have ended. DJ Bump had the party going! What a fun evening!
Loren's mother insisted on taking a photo of me with the happy couple :) This is a rarity!
