Patuxent River Nature Preserve | Mother Daughter Portraits

It's hard for me to accept that this beautiful little girl is six years old already!  I have been close with her mom and family for the last 12 years, took her newborn photos, and enjoyed watching her grow up.  It's been a while since I saw her and - whoa - it's like they grow up overnight.

I adore these photos of Ciara and her mom Suzy.  It's an awesome reflection of the women that they are.  Cowgirl boots, their pup Maybelle, and a serene outdoor location.  Patuxent River Nature Reserve is a new local favorite spot for me, such a hidden gem!  We met there at dusk and hung out until the sun was down.

I wish my mom and I had photos like this when I was her age.  I hope it's something they'll treasure for years to come.  Love these two <3

Ciara picked a bouquet for our shoot then gave it to me to take home.  It is currently on the dinner table in water :)
